Trains to Bern

Bern railway station is the main station in the city of Bern, in Switzerland. The station first opened in 1861. This station has 14 platforms, which are used by FFS (Swiss Federal Railway) trains. Bern stands on the railway line that ends in Briga and stops in Frutigen, Lausanne, Kandergrund, Blausee, Kandersteg, Spiez and Hondirch. Bern station is also linked to the fast transport system (known as S Bahn Bern), which is dedicated to the city's local public transport. The station is housed in a glass building and facilities include: more than 70 shops, cafés, ticket offices, Wi-Fi, toilets, waiting rooms and services for people with reduced mobility. A car park and taxi rank can be found outside. Passengers wishing to stop off in Bern can visit the river Aare, the Clock Tower, the Albert Einstein Museum, the Zentrum Park Klee and the Historisches Museum.
